Proposal

PROJECT OUTLINE

QCD examines the project and begins to explore appropriate strategies to achieve the clients stated objectives.

Liaise with appropriate colleagues (both internal and external) for expert input.

In some cases further clarification may be required from the client.

QUOTE

Brief subcontractors, if required, and obtain firm quotations. For example: specialist researchers, media analysts, photographers, illustrators and printers to name a few.

WRITE PROPOSAL

QCD prepares a written proposal detailing:
• the scope of the project including, the message, reproduction details, other suppliers, etc.
• design and production fees, including treatment of outside suppliers, how authors corrections will be treated and
what material expenses are included.
• timetable detailing milestones and benchmarks.
• QCD terms and conditions of engagement, including copyright policy.

This stage may also include some initial strategy proposals.

PRESENT PROPOSAL

Client checks the proposal against the brief, making sure all the objectives, strategic directions and technical considerations are fully understood and covered.

QCD may need to clarify or adjust items that require attention.

APPROVAL OF THE PROPOSAL

Client accepts proposal and issues official order to QCD.
