Note: Red type denotes work involving direct client participation. Creative Development RESEARCH CONCEPTS Client provides pre-determined material QCD investigates concepts that meet the brief and engage the target audience in a manner that will achieve the desired results. At this stage we keep a very open mind. It is amazing where some of the best ideas originate. We aim to appeal to the senses, attracting the eye, engaging the mind, the heart and the soul. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT Concepts are reviewed both internally and externally, with the most appropriate becoming possible design solutions. These preliminary design concepts are again reviewed and tested to decide which should be developed for presentation to the client. QCD prepares visuals and rationales for the client. DESIGN CONCEPT PRESENTATION Client and QCD discuss visuals and rationales, comparing each to the brief and proposal. Personal taste should not interfere with the objectives of the project (unless of course appealing to the chairman, cleaner or whomever is a stated objective of the brief). This process usually leads to agreement on the most appropriate design strategy and execution. Occasionally further visuals need to be produced according to more specific criteria. Clients are advised to be as specific and detailed as possible when evaluating design concept visuals. In some cases we have subjected these initial designs to both quantitative and qualitative research. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT Feedback to the design recommendations is attended to. A second presentation is organised and the same evaluation process occurs. This process may be repeated until: DESIGN APPROVAL Client approves design and signs off for finished artwork to proceed. |
